Is There Any Treatment For My Eczema? by Carol Bell

Skin conditions that cause inflammation and rashes are usually referred to as Eczema. Usually indicated by dry, red, flaking skin, in serious cases the victim may even have oozing or even bleeding. The first course of action is to stop the person from scratching and making the skin worse so an Eczema treatment using anti-itching drugs is used.

Moisturizing creams and lotions are used to help ensure the dry skin. Unfortunately there are a number of products that can actually dry the skin out and it is these that the Eczema patient must stop using as soon as possible. Emollients or moistening agents can be applied and can vary in thickness depending on the condition of the skin they are to be used on. Some emollients such as aqueous cream can only be used on skin that isn’t very dry or flaky.

For non-severe eczema cases, weaker steroids can be used in cream or ointment form; the likes of Hydrocortisone and Desonide corticosteroids but these eczema treatments while very effective do not cure the condition.

Warnings are always given when using corticosteroids though as their overuse will often make the skin become more fragile and make the condition worse than it was.

It is now known that a person’s health and food consumption may be a contributing factor of Eczema and to its subsequent treatment and control. Still in the early stages of research this could prove invaluable for those people whose Eczema is caused by an allergic reaction to certain foods. Those foods indicated in being Eczema triggers are wheat, milk, cheese, butter, eggs, Soya, coffee and nuts but varies from individual to another.

Not all of the Eczema treatments used to combat Eczema are conventional as both alternative medicine and Chinese Traditional medicine also have therapies available as well. However, if you use any of these methods you will need to inform your doctor.

Traditional Chinese medicine and Western herbalism, suggest a wide variety of treatments, each of which may vary from individual to individual as there efficacy or harm. The very nature of Eczema means that the skins surface is open to infection and antibiotics are also used as a treatment.

One are can easily infect another are if the Eczema victim is unable to stop from scratching damaged areas of skin. For skin that is already sensitive, this is not a good thing as any further infection will just cause more problems unless a course of antibiotics is given. Although it has mixed results, Ultraviolet light in the UVA spectrum is having a positive effect with treating the eczema of certain individuals.

This treatment may have a limited application owing to the destructive nature that UVA Ultraviolet light has on the skin by causing skin cancer. Additional help on treatments for eczema will be available from your doctor or allergy specialist.

She’s sworn death to the mobsters who murdered her parents and she’s decided the method of their disposal: blast ‘em-one by one-to kingdom come. She also knows the right man for the job: cool-fire ex-CIA explosives expert Ray Quick (Sylvester Stallone).

This jaw-dropping documentary takes an experimental approach in its presentation of footage from the 1961 trial of SS colonel Adolf Eichman, a German efficiency specialist in charge of transportation of Jews to concentration camps during World War II. After Israeli agents finally caught up with Eichman in South America in 1960, they deported him to Israel, and American filmmaker Leo Hurwitz captured over 350 hours of footage of the subsequent months-long trial. Presented here in an experimentally edited version by Eyal Silvain and Rony Brauman, the trial becomes a surreal, chilling experience. Their technique contrasts the banality of courtroom procedure with an haunting, avante garde score, and subtle video tricks that hint at the unfathomable atrocities being addressed. This mix of tedium and horror is perfectly reflected by Eichman himself, as he hides in a dull fog of bureaucratic buck-passing throughout the film, while the judge has to continually quiet the hostile courtroom. Touches like the numbered tattoo visible on the arm of a court official operating a tape machine, communicate stronger messages than even actual footage of war atrocities could. Devastating in its simplicity, THE SPECIALIST is a film of great historical importance, and subtle, haunting power.
